Mergers Announced by Charities

The American National Red Cross has merged eight of its Connecticut branches into one entity it has named the American Red Cross Connecticut Regional Chapter, in Farmington, Conn.
Angel Kiss Foundation and Keaton Raphael Memorial, Northern Nevada, two Reno groups that help children with cancer, have merged to form the Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation.
Berkshire Healthcare Systems and HospiceCare in the Berkshires, both in Pittsfield, Mass., plan to merge.
The Guidance Center, a child and family services group in Cambridge, Mass., has merged with Riverside Community Care, a health-services organization in Dedham, Mass.
Helping Hands Housing Services, a Phoenix group that helps low-income people find low-cost housing, has merged with Umom New Day Centers, a homeless shelter in Phoenix.
Life Rolls On Foundation, a Los Angeles group that seeks to improve the quality of life for young people with spinal-cord injuries, has merged with the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, a Short Hills, N.J., organization focused on finding cures and treatments for spinal-cord injuries and improving the lives of people who are paralyzed.
Northwest Hospital & Medical Center, in Seattle, will become a division of UW Medicine, which is associated with the University of Washington, in Seattle.
Northwoods Living, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, plans to merge with Opportunity Village, in Clear Lake, Iowa. Both groups provide services to mentally and physically disabled people.
Panim: the Institute for Jewish Leadership and Values, a Rockville, Md., organization serving Jewish youths, and B’nai B’rith Youth Organization, in Washington, have merged.
Potomac Hospital, in Woodbridge, Va., plans to merge with Sentara Healthcare, in Norfolk, Va.
SC Bio, in Greenwood, S.C., and Advanced Technology Institute, in Charleston, S.C., have merged.
St. Mary’s Hospital, in Leonardtown, Md., has merged with MedStar Health, in Columbia, Md.
Willamette Falls Hospital, in Oregon City, Ore., has merged with Providence Health & Services, a health-care system in Seattle. The hospital’s new name is Willamette Falls Medical Center.
