The commissioner of New York City’s Human Resources Administration, Verna Eggleston, plans to become a top official at the Bloomberg Family Foundation, reports The New York Times.
Ms. Eggleston, who worked as a policy adviser to Mayor Michael Bloomberg before heading the human-resources department, will stay in her position until a replacement is found. At the foundation, which is Mr. Bloomberg’s private philanthropy, she will conduct research on projects to support and develop grant-making programs.
Mr. Bloomberg, who made a fortune through his communications company, is one of the nation’s most-generous philanthropists, according to The Chronicle of Philanthropy’s rankings.
