Financial advisers hoping to win the business of millennials set to inherit tens of trillions of dollars over the next several decades should master the language of philanthropy, The Wall Street Journal writes.
Experts note research showing the generation now aged 20 to 35 is overwhelmingly committed to philanthropy. They recommend that advisers mind how they frame philanthropic discussions with younger donors who, having grown up in a globalized world, are more likely than their baby-boomer parents to favor internationally minded charities that focus on social and environmental issues and can demonstrate results.
