How she uses technology for good: Ms. Deutch converted a van into a mobile media studio, called Messages in Motion, that helps neighborhood groups and nonprofits in Philadelphia produce and show short-form documentary films about violence, social justice, environmental degradation, and other concerns in their communities. Videos are shown in other neighborhoods where the van travels and are posted online to promote a better understanding of important issues and stimulate collaboration.
