More Religious Leaders Resign From Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund

July 14, 2006

Seven of nine religious leaders serving on a Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund advisory board have resigned because they say their advice to the fund’s Washington staff was ignored, the Associated Press reports.

Five of the resignations come on the heels of last week’s resignations of the fund’s co-chairmen, Bishop T.D. Jakes, a Dallas pastor, and the Rev. William H. Gray III, a former president of the United Negro College Fund.
