Transforming Ordinary People Into Fundraising Superheroes
by Carol Weisman

Designed to look like a comic book, Fundraising Superheroes is geared toward people who do not enjoy asking for money or do not see themselves as fund raisers.

Carol Weisman, a fund-raising consultant, stresses that board members must be actively involved in raising money and should not leave it up to leadership councils or committees to do so.

“The truth is,” she writes, “rich people don’t raise money and give it to poor people to spend.”

An appendix includes a list of fund-raising consultants, books, and Web sites.
