Announced: June, after raising money quietly since January
Planned end date: 2021
What it’s raising money for: $800-million for capital projects locally and in Florida and for patient programs; $700-million for research; $400-million for physician and caregiver training, including a new health-education campus in partnership with Case Western Reserve University
Harvard Business School
$1-billion
Announced: Kicked off the public phase of a five-year, $6.5-billion drive for Harvard University in July 2013. The business school’s campaign, which is included in the university’s drive, was launched in April of this year.
Planned end date: 2018
What it’s raising money for: The business school drive includes $250-million for research and faculty expansion; $200-million for education programs, like HBX, its new online learning venture; and $150-million for international initiatives

University of California at Los Angeles
