Leigh Phillips will take over as chief executive officer of this organization, which helps low-income people build savings accounts. She is currently director of the office of financial empowerment for the City and County of San Francisco, where she has helped the office lead several programs to reduce the number of people who lack bank accounts, a factor that helps perpetuate poverty.
Center for Effective Philanthropy
Jen Vorse Wilka, former consultant to Fe y Alegria School System in Ecuador, will be executive director of YouthTruth.
International AIDS Vaccine Initiative
Mark Feinberg, chief public health and science officer for Merck Vaccines at Merck & Company, was named chief executive officer.
Moyer Foundation
Mary FitzGerald, chief executive officer of Back on My Feet, was appointed chief executive officer.
Public Welfare Foundation
Ana Yáñez-Correa, executive director of the Texas Criminal Justice Coalition, will be criminal-justice program officer.
Wheat Ridge Ministries
Paul Miles, vice president for development at Make — Wish America in Phoenix, was named chief executive officer.
Other Notable Changes:
Kevin Cathcart, executive director of Lambda Legal, will retire in April.
Robert Tjian, president of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, will step down at the end of 2016.
