A new charity will be established to honor Vice President Joe Biden’s late son, Beau, and his legacy of protecting abused children, reports The News Journal, of Delaware,. Mr. Biden, who served as Delaware’s attorney general from 2007 through January, died Saturday at age 46 after battling brain cancer.

During this first year in office, Mr. Biden formed a committee to focus on catching and prosecuting child sex offenders, including a high-profile case involving more than 100 child patients abused by their pediatrician. The Beau Biden Foundation for the Protection of Children will raise money to help both groups and individuals.
