Michael Govan, 42, head of the Dia Art Foundation in New York, was appointed director of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art Thursday, reports the Los Angeles Times. Mr. Govan is expected to take charge of the museum in early March. He will succeed Andrea L. Rich, who retired in November after a decade on the job.
