Thomas Kenyon, who has served as director of the Center for Global Health at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for more than two decades, will take over as chief executive officer on October 1. In his previous role, he aided the U.S. government’s efforts to restrain the Ebola outbreak and in its fight against HIV/AIDS.
Achieving the Dream
Karen Stout, president of Montgomery County Community College (Pa.), was appointed chief executive officer.
Andrew W. Mellon Foundation
Ella Baff, executive and artistic director of Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, will be senior program officer for arts and cultural heritage.
Cherokee Preservation Foundation
Annette Clapsaddle, executive director of the foundation, has resigned to return to teaching.
Global Potential
Wendy Reynoso, an independent education consultant, was named executive director. She will also assume the role of chief executive officer in September.
Juvenile Law Center
Susan Vivian Mangold, professor of law at the State University of New York College at Buffalo, will be executive director.
Philadelphia Foundation
Pedro Ramos, a partner at Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis, was appointed chief executive officer.
Other Notable Changes:
Catherine Cuellar, executive director of the Dallas Arts District, was appointed director of entrepreneurs for North Texas at the Communities Foundation of Texas.
Michael Friedline, an independent consultant, will be vice president for development at the Woodland Park Zoo.
Belén Herner, president of Herner Consulting Services, was named development manager at Susan G. Komen of Central and Northern Arizona.
James Marcus, former chairman of the Metropolitan Opera, died on July 5. He was 85.
Thomas Martin, director of finance and administration, will be managing director at the Metropolitan Opera Guild.
Amir Pasic, dean of the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, will hold the school’s endowed Eugene R. Tempel deanship at the Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis.
