Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra
Scott Harrison will lead the orchestra as its executive director. Mr. Harrison is currently vice president for advancement and external relations at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, where he has worked for five years. During that time, he developed a popular free webcast series called Live From Orchestra Hall, which featured performances by Yo-Yo Ma and Krzysztof Penderecki.
Ronald McDonald House Charities
Sheila Musolino, vice president and chief operating officer, will take over as chief executive officer of the charity, where she will help expand its programs and services to provide family-centered care for children. In her current position, she has created and led programs that strengthen donor support and provide resources to the charity’s local chapters. She starts on December 15.
Community Foundations of Hudson Valley
March Gallagher, chief strategy officer at Hudson Valley Pattern for Progress, will be chief executive officer.
Help Hospitalized Veterans
Joe McClain, former president of the Beer Institute, will be chief executive.
International Fertilizer Development Center
J. Scott Angle, dean of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at the University of Georgia, was named chief executive officer.
National Institute for Children’s Health Quality
Scott Berns, senior vice president for chapter programs and deputy medical officer at March of Dimes, was named chief executive officer.
New Britain Museum of American Art
Min Jung Kim, deputy director for external relations at the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University, will be director.
Pérez Art Museum Miami
Franklin Sirmans, curator of contemporary art at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, will be director.
Wege Foundation
Mark Van Putten, founder of the philanthropic advisory firm, ConservationStrategy, was appointed chief executive officer.
Other Notable Changes
Andrew Kohut, founding director and former president of the Pew Research Center, died on September 8. He was 73.
Josh Pushkin, chief development officer at PILnet, will be vice president for development at Ms. Foundation for Women.
Sharon Richardson, an independent consultant on land protections, will be vice president at the National Audubon Society and executive director of its South Carolina sector.
Kris Van Giesen, former chief development and community relations officer at the Hanna Boys Center, will be director of advancement and community relations at Students Rising Above.
