Beneficiary: Miami Art Museum

Donor’s background: Mr. Pérez founded the Related Group, a real-estate development company in Miami.

Mr. Pérez, 61, pledged $30-million to the Miami Art Museum, including $15-million in cash and a collection of Latin American art valued at least $15-million. The pledge will be paid over the next 10 years, with the museum set to receive $5-million this year and $3.5-million in 2013 and the artworks in subsequent years. The cash portion of the gift will go toward a new building.

Mr. Pérez has served on the museum’s board of directors since 2004 and pledged $5-million to the museum that year. He also serves on University of Miami’s Board of Trustees.
