Nonprofit Groups Seek New Sources for Leaders

To fill an increasing number of open positions, nonprofits groups have had to expand their search for leaders beyond the usual sources, reports The Examiner, in Washington.
Baby boomers, including many charity executives, will soon retire in large numbers, the article notes, and organizations often tap executives in the for-profit world to replace them. Some groups have tapped into the population of people they previously provided services to when hiring.
Despite new sources of talent, many organizations struggle to fill certain positions, especially development directors, chief financial officers, and information technology directors.
