Nonprofit Medical Providers Offer Better Care Than For-Profit Peers, Study Finds

June 21, 2006

Nonprofit nursing homes and hospitals on average provide a better quality of care compared with for-profit medical facilities, according to a study in the journal Health Affairs, reports Reuters.

The study looked at 162 cases of nonprofit versus commercial medical providers.

The change has forced such charities to use more business approaches, including flashy ad campaigns.
