Oklahoma State U. Receives $20-Million for Sports Facility

Sherman Smith, founder of Service Drilling Company, in Tulsa, has given $20-million to Oklahoma State University, to support a new sports facility, reports the Associated Press.

A planned indoor practice facility will be named for Mr. Smith and will provide training space for several of the university’s sports teams. Mr. Smith graduated from the university in 1948 with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
