Oracle Chairman Fails to Fulfill Harvard Pledge
June 21, 2006
Lawrence J. Ellison, chairman of the software company Oracle, has failed to fulfill a $115-million pledge to Harvard University, a gift that was due last September, reports The Financial Times.
Harvard’s Ellison Institute for World Health, which would have received the donation, has been forced to lay off three managers because of the delay.
A spokesman for Mr. Ellison at Oracle declined to comment. (A paid subscription is required to view this article.)
