Oregon Arts College Receives $15-Million Gift

Hallie E. Ford, a 102-year-old philanthropist, is donating $15-million to the Pacific Northwest College of Art, in Portland, Ore., reports the Associated Press.
The donation is double the college’s annual budget. The college plans to use most of the money to support an artists-in-residence program that will bring world-class artists, performers, and designers to Portland for long-term residencies. The rest will be used for capital expenses.
