May 25, 2006

The former office manager of a nonprofit think tank in Harrisburg, Pa., is expected to plead guilty to embezzlement charges for allegedly stealing more than $300,000 from her former employer, reports The Patriot-News, in Harrisburg.

Caroline T. Ramsey could face up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for misusing the Keystone Research Center’s credit card and issuing checks to herself for personal expenses.

The research center discovered the theft in 2004, shortly after Ms. Ramsey left the organization. The article did not contain comment from Ms. Ramsey.
