Stevens, who has served as interim chief executive officer since August 2003, when John H. Graham IV left to become president and chief executive officer of the American Society of Association Executives (Washington).

DEATHS
Arnold O. Beckman, 104, died May 18 in La Jolla, Calif. Mr. Beckman was founder and chairman of Beckman Instruments (Fullerton, Calif.), and established the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation (Irvine, Calif.) with his wife, Mabel, in 1977.
Henry J. Everett, 78, died May 15 in New York. Mr. Everett was founder and president of Lexington Associates, an investment company in New York, and established the Everett Foundation (New York) with his wife, Edith, in 1957.
Bert L. Wolstein, 77, died May 17 at his home in Pepper Pike, Ohio. Mr. Wolstein was founder of Developers Diversified Realty Corporation (Cleveland) and his philanthropy included gifts totaling more than $27-million to Case Western Reserve U. (Cleveland).
