American Heart Association, Heartland Affiliate (Davenport, Iowa): Appointed Kevin D. Harker, chief operating officer at the Greater Midwest Affiliate (Chicago), to be executive vice president.

American Liver Foundation (New York): Announced the resignation of Alan P. Brownstein, president and chief executive officer, effective October 1.

Hoffman Center (Muttontown, N.Y.): Appointed Michelle O. McFaul, a deputy commissioner at the Nassau County Department of Parks, Recreation, and Museums (East Meadow, N.Y.), to be executive director, a newly created position. The Hoffman Center operates a 155-acre nature preserve and wildlife sanctuary.

Home for Little Wanderers (Boston): Appointed Kevin G. Courtney, chief development officer at the May Institute (Norwood, Mass.), to be vice president of development. The Home for Little Wanderers operates more than 30 programs for at-risk children and families.
