American Brain Tumor Association (Des Plaines, Ill.): Appointed Elizabeth Wilson, executive director for communications and public affairs at the National Safety Council (Itasca, Ill.), to be executive director. She succeeds Naomi Berkowitz, who has retired.
American Enterprise Institute (Washington): Appointed Arthur C. Brooks, a professor of business and government policy at Syracuse U. (N.Y.), to be president. He will succeed Christopher DeMuth, who will remain as a senior fellow, on January 1.
American Heart Association (Dallas): Announced the retirement of M. Cass Wheeler, chief executive officer, effective December 31.
American Tinnitus Association (Portland, Ore.): Appointed Gary Reul, director of curriculum and instruction at the North Shore School District (Bothell, Wash.), to be chief executive officer.
Battleship Missouri Memorial (Honolulu): Appointed Michael A. Carr, vice president of family wealth management at the Bank of Hawaii (Honolulu), to be president and chief operating officer.
Cleveland Museum of Art: Announced the death of Sherman Emery Lee, who served as director from 1958 to 1983, on July 9. He was 90.
Dia Art Foundation (New York): Appointed Philippe Vergne, deputy director and chief curator at the Walker Art Center (Minneapolis), to be director, effective September 15. He succeeds Jeffrey Weiss, who left in March to return to curatorial and scholarly work.
Dumbarton House (Washington): Appointed Karen L. Daly, education director, to be executive director. Dumbarton House is a historic home that serves as the headquarters for the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America.
Food for the Poor (Coconut Creek, Fla.): Appointed Scott Harding, regional representative for Southeast Asia at Sheffield International Developments (England), to be government-programs director.
Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles: Appointed Lise L. Luttgens, interim chief executive officer of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California (Pasadena) and former chief operating officer at the Fulfillment Fund (Los Angeles), to be chief executive officer. This new regional council comprises the former Angeles Girl Scout Council, Girl Scout Council of Greater Long Beach, Girl Scouts-Joshua Tree Council, Girl Scouts-Mt. Wilson Vista Council, Girl Scouts-Spanish Trails Council, and Girl Scouts of the San Fernando Valley.

Witness (New York): Appointed Yvette J. Alberdingk Thijm, executive vice president of content strategy and acquisition at Joost (New York), to be executive director. Witness uses technology to promote awareness about human-rights violations.
