This new regional council comprises the former Girl Scout Council of Greater Essex and Hudson Counties, Girl Scouts of Rolling Hills Council, and Girl Scouts of Washington Rock Council.
Home of the Sparrow (Crystal Lake, Ill.): Appointed Nancy Hiatt, executive director of Victim/Witness Services for Coconino County (Flagstaff, Ariz.), to be executive director. Home of the Sparrow is a transitional shelter for homeless women with children.
Homefirst: Interfaith Housing and Family Services (Plainfield, N.J.): Appointed Ellen McGovern, associate executive director at the YWCA of Eastern Union County (Elizabeth, N.J.), to be executive director. She succeeds Barbara Aaronoff, who has retired.
Interact (Raleigh, N.C.): Appointed Jo Lawson, director of programs at the Healing Place for Women (Raleigh), to be director of child and family services. Interact assists victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Wake County, N.C.
