American Jewish World Service (New York): Appointed Rabbi Ruth Gelfarb, program director for the Sophia Fund at the Chicago Foundation for Women, to be director of service, and Jodi L. Jacobson, former executive director of the Center for Health and Gender Equity (Takoma Park, Md.), to be director of advocacy.

Aspen Institute (Washington): Announced the resignation of Alan J. Abramson, director of the Nonprofit Sector and Philanthropy Program, effective in January 2008. He will become a professor of government and politics at George Mason U. (Fairfax, Va.).

Bethel Woods Center for the Arts (Bethel, N.Y.): Appointed Peter B. Lane, president and chief executive officer of the Mann Center for the Performing Arts (Philadelphia), to be chief executive officer.
