Hillel: the Foundation for Jewish Campus Life (Washington): Appointed Jay L. Rubin, executive director of the Jewish Federation of New Haven (Conn.), to be executive vice-president.
Jewish National Fund (New York): Appointed Joel L. Leibowitz, executive vice-president of the American Society of the U. of Haifa (New York), to be director of major gifts and board development. The J.N.F. is a fund-raising arm of the Jewish National Fund of Israel, that nation’s official land-reclamation and conservation agency.
The Johns Hopkins U. (Baltimore): Appointed Bernard J. Davisson II, former associate vice-president for development and director of planned giving at Hood College (Frederick, Md.), to be planned-giving adviser for the Johns Hopkins Institutions; Julian S. Jones, vice-president for institutional advancement at the U. of Maryland University College (College Park), to be director of development for the Institute for the Academic Advancement of Youth; and Jerome D. Schnydman, executive director of alumni relations, to be executive assistant to the president.

Piton Foundation (Denver): Judith M. Kaufmann, program officer, died December 24 in an automobile accident in southern California. She was 47 and had worked at the foundation since 1982.
Rockefeller Foundation (New York): Peter C. Goldmark, Jr., former president, has been appointed chairman and chief executive officer of the International Herald Tribune (Paris). Mr. Goldmark, who announced his resignation last year, has been succeeded at the foundation by Gordon Conway.
