American Red Cross of Massachusetts Bay (Boston): Appointed Mary T. Tiernan, director of research and donor relations at the Archdiocese of Boston, to be director of leadership giving.

Art Institute of Chicago: Announced the resignation of James N. Wood, director and president since 1980.

BoardSource (Washington): Appointed Deborah S. Hechinger, executive vice president of the WWF (Washington), to be president and chief executive officer. She succeeds Judith O’Connor, who died September 1 of cancer. She was 57, and had served as BoardSource’s president from 1997 to 2002. Märianne Eby, general counsel and chief knowledge officer, served as acting chief executive officer in the interim.

Boys Town (Omaha): Msgr. Robert Hupp, former executive director, died on August 29. He was 88, and had served as executive director from 1973 to 1985.

Carrfour Supportive Housing (Miami): Appointed Berne Teeple, director of development at the Food for Life Network (Miami), to be director of fund development and communications.
