PIANIST AWARDED

Pianist Ingrid Fliter, 32, has won the Irving S. Gilmore Foundation’s Artist Award, reports The Washington Post. Ms. Fliter was chosen from a pool of 450 nominations and will receive a $300,000 cash prize. The Gilmore award is presented every four years by the Gilmore Foundation, in Kalamazoo, Mich. Ms. Fliter will perform with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra this week.
