Possible Illinois Budget Cuts Spur Merger Talks

Officials at Prairie Center Health Systems, in Urbana, Ill., and Community Elements, in Champaign, Ill., which both treat people with mental illness and substance-abuse problems, are considering a merger in the face of proposed state budget cuts, reports The News-Gazette. The two groups plan to decide whether to merge by the end of June.
