Gayle Roberts, a fund-raising consultant in San Francisco, asked a panel of fund raisers to predict the future of fund raising and philanthropy.
Some of the predictions, which are posted on her Fundraising for Nonprofits blog, are rather radical.
Among the predictions:
- Donors’ calls for increased efficiency will reduce the number of nonprofit organizations.
- Corporate giving will disappear, to be replaced by business-charity marketing deals.
- The number of operating foundations will rise.
