Phillip Henderson, vice president of the German Marshall Fund of the United States, will join the Surdna Foundation as its new leader, reports The Wall Street Journal.
Mr. Henderson succeeds Ed Skloot at the foundation, which has $900-million in assets and concentrates its philanthropy on neighborhood revitalization and the environment. Last year, Surdna gave out about $37-million.
John Andrus, a real-estate investor, created the foundation in 1917 in Yonkers, N.Y.
