How he uses technology for good: Mr. Elliot and his organization used social media to encourage straight people to send messages to state legislators in New York in support of a bill that would legalize gay marriage. The bill was signed into law in 2011, two years after Friendfactor was created. The effort now supports advocacy to fight discrimination against gay people nationwide.
