MORRIS AND GWENDOLYN CAFRITZ FOUNDATION
For its Neighbors in Need Fund, which provides grants to charities that help poor people: $2-million to the Community Foundation for the National Capital Region (Washington).
CHARTER ONE FOUNDATION
For its Food Rescue Program: $100,000 to the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
DANIELS FUND
For program expenses: $20,000 to Meals on Wheels of Boulder (Colo.).
DOMINION FOUNDATION
To provide health care to low-income people: $1-million to be divided among 100 free clinics in 14 states where Dominion operates.
GRAINGER FOUNDATION
To feed hungry people: $20,000 to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina.
INASMUCH FOUNDATION
To feed hungry people: $250,000 to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma (Oklahoma City).
NORTHFIELD SAVINGS BANK FOUNDATION
To feed hungry children: $450,000 to the Vermont Campaign to End Childhood Hunger (Burlington).
PASADENA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
For programs to help homeless and very low-income people: $50,000 to Union Station Homeless Services (Pasadena, Calif.).
STARR INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION
To strengthen food pantries and soup kitchens across the city: $1-million to the Fund for New York City Hunger Relief.
