RED CROSS OFFICIAL FREED
March 15, 2006
Julien Grosclaude, a Swiss employee of the International Committee of the Red Cross who was kidnapped in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, has been released, reports swissinfo. A spokeswoman for the international organization said she did not know who the kidnappers were or the motivations behind the abduction. Earlier Tuesday, Palestinian militants had warned they would take foreigners hostage after an Israeli raid on a jail in the West Bank.
