Refugees Need More Aid, Says United Nations

While the total number of refugees in the world is at its lowest in more than 25 years—8.4 million people—wealthy nations and international aid groups need to do more to help displaced people rebuild and to prevent conflicts, the head of the United Nations refugee group said Tuesday, reports Reuters.
Antonio Guterres, the U.N.’s High Commissioner for Refugees, marked Tuesday’s World Refugee Day by visiting Liberia and welcoming back civilians who had fled the country’s brutal civil war.
