Charitable efforts: While earning his master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government in 2011, Mr. Faustino set out to help families get access to the services they need to escape poverty. His nonprofit, One Degree, built an extensive online database of organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area that provide emergency food, legal services, health care, and early-childhood education, among other services.
