RUSSIAN NONPROFIT SPY ALLEGATIONS

Two Russian nonprofit groups say the Kremlin’s recent spying allegations against Britain are part of an effort to stifle their ability to criticize the government, reports The Guardian, in London. The Russian Federal Security Bureau this week accused Britain of paying the Moscow Helsinki Group, a human-rights organization, and another nonprofit group to spy on Russian authorities. The British Foreign Office denied the charges.
