Search the Database: Groups That Have Lost Their Tax-Exempt Status

Use the searchable database or browse the list of the 275,000 organizations that the Internal Revenue Service says are no longer tax-exempt because they did not file legally required documents.

Note: Some organizations say they are wrongly on the list because of errors by the IRS. Donors should be careful not to rely solely on this list but should check with the organization and the IRS first. You can report mistakes on the list by sending us an e-mail.
