Seattle University has received an anonymous $30 million donation to support its new Center for Science and Innovation, the Associated Press writes. The gift will also be used to establish an endowment for scholarships.

The Jesuit university announced an additional $12 million gift, also from an unnamed donor, to its Institute for Catholic Thought and Culture.

Two University of Minnesota alumni are giving $17 million to their alma mater, with $12 million earmarked for construction of a planned athletic village, reports the Minneapolis Star Tribune. The remaining $5 million from financier John Lindahl and his wife, Nancy, will be divided among the various academic and research programs.
