A conservative government-watchdog group filed a complaint with the Senate Committee on Ethics, claiming that a Democratic senator did not report his position as director of a family foundation on his Senate financial-disclosure forms, reports the Associated Press.
Judicial Watch complained that in 2003, 2004, and 2005, Sen. Evan Bayh, of Indiana, did not list his position at the Evan and Susan Bayh Foundation on his disclosure forms. The foundation was formed in 2002 with money left over from Senator Bayh’s gubernatorial campaigns. He was a two-time governor of Indiana.
Judicial Watch says that the failure to list Mr. Bayh’s position at the foundation is “improper conduct that reflects upon the United States Senate.”
A spokeswoman for Mr. Bayh said that the omission was an oversight and that the forms have been corrected.
