SEPTEMBER 11 MEMORIAL

The $500-million fund-raising campaign by the World Trade Center Memorial Foundation faces mounting criticism as it seeks donations to pay for a September 11 museum and memorial, reports the Associated Press. Critics said they were concerned that many of the organization’s board members have not yet contributed to the campaign, which was publicly announced in October. Groundbreaking on the memorial is set to begin in spring 2006.
