STEM-CELL RESEARCH GRANT

The Eli and Edythe L. Broad Foundation has awarded a multimillion-dollar grant to the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California, in Los Angeles, to support stem-cell studies, reports KESQ.com. The donation will pay for a 215,000-square-foot facility for research on cardiovascular disease, diabetes, transplant biology, and other diseases.
