Steven Hilton to Step Down as Head of Hotel Family’s Charity

The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation announced Tuesday that Steven M. Hilton will retire as leader of the family charity’s at the end of 2015, the Los Angeles Times writes.
The 63-year-old grandson of hotel tycoon Conrad Hilton has been with the $2.4-billion foundation since 1983. The fund, based in Agoura Hills, Calif., fund awarded $92-million in grants last year and annually hands out the $1.5-million Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize. Its primary causes are ending homelessness, preventing substance abuse, and aiding foster children and youth with HIV and AIDS.
Mr. Hilton said he announced his plans to step down early to give the foundation time for an intensive nationwide search for a new president and chief executive officer.
