Sudan Coalition Faces Tension Among Members
April 28, 2006
The Save Darfur Coalition, a broad alliance of 164 nonprofit organizations, plans to rally in Washington Sunday to protest violence in Sudan’s Darfur region, but the group has experienced rising tension among its diverse members, reports The Washington Post.
Immigrants from Darfur, whose population is almost entirely Muslim, have complained about evangelical Christian groups in the coalition, saying they promote missionary work in Africa.
