The Colorado Trust Appoints New President; Other Personnel Moves in the Nonprofit World

American Friends Service Committee (Philadelphia): Appointed Shan Cretin, director of its Pacific Southwest region, based in Los Angeles, to be general secretary, the organization’s top job.
American Humane Association (Denver): Appointed Robin Ganzert, deputy director of philanthropic services at the Pew Charitable Trusts, based in Washington, to be president and chief executive officer.
Archaeological Institute of America (Boston): Appointed Peter Herdrich, director of industry programs at the Paley Center for Media (New York), to be chief executive officer.
Calvert Foundation (Bethesda, Md.): Announced the resignation of Shari Berenbach, president and chief executive officer. She will lead microenterprise development at the United States Agency for International Development (Washington). Calvert Foundation makes financial investments in low-cost housing and other social causes.
Choral Arts Society of Washington: Announced the retirement of Norman Scribner, founder and artistic director, effective on August 31, 2012.
Common Sense Media (San Francisco): Appointed Susan Sachs, former chief operating officer, to be acting president and chief operating officer. She replaces Anne Zehren, who is stepping down and joining the Board of Directors. Common Sense Media helps parents pick safe media and entertainment options for their children.
Council for Advancement and Support of Education (Washington): Appointed Chua Beng Hwee, deputy director of alumni relations at the National U. of Singapore, to be executive director of its Asia-Pacific office, based in Singapore.
Cultural Survival (Cambridge, Mass.): Announced the resignation of Ellen Lutz, executive director, due to health troubles. Cultural Survival works to protect indigenous cultures, lands, and languages around the world.
Florida State U. (Tallahassee): Appointed Tom Jennings, assistant vice president for school programs and institutional priorities at the U. of Virginia (Charlottesville), to be vice president for university advancement.
Global Impact (Alexandria, Va.): Appointed Lindi Harvey, deputy director at the National Park Service (Washington), to be executive director of the Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area, which is an annual charity drive run by federal employees.
Hispanic College Fund (Washington): Appointed Carlos E. Santiago, chancellor of the U. of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, to be chief executive officer.
Junior Achievement of New York: Appointed Gabrielle Belson Rattner, principal of her own communications and fund-raising consulting firm in New York, to be vice president of resource development.
Miami Art Museum: Appointed Thomas Collins, director of the Neuberger Museum of Art (Purchase, N.Y.), to be director.
Minneapolis Jewish Federation (Minneapolis): Appointed Steve Silberfarb, chief executive officer and executive vice president of the Jewish Federation of Rhode Island (Providence), to be chief executive officer. He succeeds Joshua Fogelson, who is now executive director of strategic development at the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (New York).
Network for Good (Bethesda, Md.): Appointed Dan McCabe, executive vice president for donor relations at Gifts In Kind International (Alexandria, Va.), to be chief development officer.
San Diego Hospice: Appointed Kathleen Pacurar, chief development officer, to be president and chief executive officer. She succeeds Jan Cetti, who has retired.
San Francisco Opera: Appointed Jennifer Lynch, senior director for the comprehensive campaign, to be development director.
United Way of the Bay Area (San Francisco): Appointed Stuart Canning, associate director of development at the San Francisco Symphony, to be chief development officer.
Yéle Haiti (New York): Appointed Derek Q. Johnson, founder and chief executive officer of Integrated Urban Holdings (New York), to be chief executive officer. He succeeds founder Wyclef Jean, who has resigned. (See article.)

Alfred P. Sloan Foundation (New York): Appointed Joshua M. Greenberg, director of digital strategy and scholarship at the New York Public Library, to be director of its digital-information technology and dissemination of knowledge program.
Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (Seattle): Appointed Chris Wilson, interim director of discovery and former deputy director for vaccine discovery and human biology, to be director of discovery, which supports new ways to prevent, treat, and diagnose disease.
The Colorado Trust (Denver): Appointed Ned Calonge, chief medical officer for the State of Colorado, to be president and chief executive officer. He succeeds Irene M. Ibarra, who plans to retire. The trust also appointed Chris Armijo, director of the Colorado Center for Health Equity at the Partnership for Children & Families (Denver), to be a program officer.
Doris Duke Charitable Foundation (New York): Appointed Betsy Myers, senior program officer, to be program director for medical research.
Flinn Foundation (Phoenix): Appointed Nancy Welch, associate director for the Morrison Institute for Public Policy at Arizona State U. (Phoenix), to be vice president for the Arizona Center for Civic Leadership.
Gulf Coast Community Foundation of Venice (Fla.): Appointed Veronica Brady, senior vice president of private-wealth management at SunTrust Bank (Sarasota, Fla.), to be vice president for philanthropy and donor relations.
Houston Endowment: Appointed Debbie McNulty, grant officer in the area of arts and culture, also to be a grant officer for human services.
