September 6, 2001 | Read Time: 1 minute
Preparing Your Capital Campaign, by Marilyn Bancel, seeks to help fund raisers with tasks such as determining timetables for a campaign, creating committees, and establishing goals. An introductory chapter goes over the fundamentals of campaign fund raising and addresses key questions about them. Other chapters explain how to prepare an organization for a capital campaign, how to start up the project, and how to raise money early in the campaign. This workbook contains checklists, methods for estimating costs, a sample campaign budget, and a list of Web resources. Marilyn Bancel is vice president of the Oram Group, a fund-raising consulting firm. The book is part of the Excellence in Fund Raising workbook series from the Fund Raising School at the Indiana University Center on Philanthropy.
