Troubled Hospital Group Implements More Layoffs

The troubled Northeast Hospital Corporation, a nonprofit healthcare system in Beverly, Mass., has laid off seven employees, including four nurses, at its Addison Gilbert Hospital, reports the Boston Globe. The cuts follow the previous layoffs of 50 employees over the last month, and Northeast officials hinted there would be more cuts in the coming months to make up for a predicted $15-million deficit.
