Trump Has Donated $100 Million, Campaign Chief Says

Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump has given more than $100 million to charity “over the last number of years,” his campaign manager told CNN Thursday. Corey Lewandowski said the candidate and his family have “been tremendous supporters of nonprofit causes throughout the years” and that the campaign will provide “a full accounting” of the Mr. Trump’s donations.

The billionaire businessman has made similar assertions about his giving but has resisted calls to back up his claims by releasing his tax returns, prompting GOP rivals to question his philanthropy. In a speech Thursday, 2012 Republican nominee Mitt Romney became the latest leading party figure to do so, saying, “I predict that he doesn’t give much of anything to our disabled, to our veterans.”
