Two Nonprofit Unemployment Trusts Merge

Two of the nation’s largest unemployment trusts for nonprofit groups have joined together, reports the PR Newswire.
Joint Agencies’ Trust and Northwest Agencies’ Trust have merged to become 501(c ) Agencies Trust. The new organization will serve 1,500 nonprofit members in 44 states and Washington and will have assets of more than $60-million, the news wire says.
Doug McLendon, board chairman of the 501(c ) Agencies Trust said, “The new trust will give us the leverage and flexibility to save additional funds and develop new programs for our member agencies.”
