Two Northern California Food Banks Have Merged

The Marin Food Bank, in Calif., merged with the San Francisco Food Bank on January 1, according to the Marin Independent Journal. The merged groups estimate they will shore up the amount of food provided to the needy in Marin by about 50 percent, up to 6 million pounds a year over the course of the next two years.
