Two Washington State Hospital Systems May Merge

May 28, 2010

PeaceHealth, a Bellevue, Wash. hospital chain, is in the process of negotiating a merger with Southwest Washington Health System, in Vancouver, according to The Columbian, a newspaper in Washington state. PeaceHealth’s board of directors is expected to make a final decision on the plan by late June. If the merger goes through, the two organizations are considering Clark County as a new base for many of the new group’s administrative employees.
